Why CII – iPATE ?

Supply Side

  • India is one of the largest producers of engineers throughout the world
  • Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers (GATE) has been a successful benchmark to assess the academic depth of engineering students to explore higher studies
  • No authentic benchmark is available to assess industrial aptitude and proficiency of engineering graduates

The Process & Protocol

1. Candidate Registration

Aspiring candidates may enroll for the Examination, by completing the Registration form and making payment of the Exam Fee through Debit/ Credit cards, Internet Banking, Wallets, UPI etc.

2. Learning & Mock Tests

Self and Group learning opportunities with Learning Videos, Reference Books, Discussion Forums and Preparatory Mock Tests across Engineering Disciplines to improve their knowledge.

3. Examination & Certification

Download Admit Cards and appearing the Computer based Examination, which is conducted in physical Exam centers from 100+ cities across India. Once the Exam is over, candidates can review their attempts with the published Q&A. The final Score Cards are made available to be downloaded further.

4. Job Board for Employment

Qualified candidates’ Profiles are shared with CII member industries through iPATE Job Board, to recruit as per their requisites and recruitment timelines. Shortlisted candidates to receive calls from Corporate HR for further due diligence and the list of finally selected candidates will be made available accordingly.

# The final year and pre-final year students may appear for the exam along with fresh graduates.
# Experienced engineers may also appear for the Exam, need to select disciplines as per their education / experiences. There is no bar of experience.

Question Patterns: Multiple Choice or Numerical Type, Total 100 Questions of 1 Mark each, Negative Marking for every wrong answer: 1/2 Mark
